Free Medical Clinics

Both pre and during the COVID-19 pandemic, SAK Foundation traveled to around 10 of Coimbatore’s largest slum areas including Selvapuram and Madukkarai to provide free health care. With the permission of National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) and through networking with local health professionals, we set up clinics in schools and mobile medical labs to perform checkups, blood tests, eye and dental services and to give out free prescriptions and medicine to all who were in need. SAK Foundation also gave donations to cover operations for serious health issues in the communities.
