Pongal is one of the most colorful festivals in South India, celebrating the sun, the earth, and the cows. It is believed as a remnant of the ancient harvest festival, as it is a three-day festival at the start of the month Thai that coincides with the winter season, harvest time, and the end of the monsoon.
Shri Anandha Kalpa Foundation Pongal 2021 festival was celebrated on January 17th Sunday in Pudupathi Village on Palaghatroad, Coimbatore. Shri Anandha Kalpa Foundation and Shri Anandha Vedashram both combined organized this as a Pongal celebration for young children, adults, and their families and people in that village. The program is managed well by our volunteering teams, and our beloved chief guest was Mr. P. Kanagasabapathy, the vice president of Tamil Nadu BJP Party.
Our foundation donated 250 sarees and 250 dhotis for the needy and the below-poverty people of the same. We also contributed books, pens, pencils, tiffin boxes for 200 children. We arranged various competitions activities and our founder Mr.S.Easwaran gave the motivation speech for village people.
Shri Anandha Kalpa Foundation and Shri Anandha Vedashram organized sports events for young children, adults, and their families and people in that village. Finally, Prizes distributions occurred to the winners of the event. Then the celebrations concluded with a thank note for the chief guest, other guests, village people, participants, event winners, and friends who were all supported.
