Maha Shivarathri Free Food

God Bless You All With Lots And Lots Of Happiness, Your Wishes Will Be Accomplished.

Om Namah Shivaya

Mahashivaratri is one of India's largest and most important religious festival evenings. The darkest night of the year, it commemorates Lord Shiva's Grace, who is considered as the Aathi Guru or even First Guru, from whom the yogic tradition creates. People worldwide understood the tight relationship between food and life even before history was written down. The Sanskrit term Annadanamessentially implies the offering or sharing (Annam) of food (Danam).

Food giving has traditionally been regarded as a divine duty in Indian culture. No celebration or ritual in the Indian subcontinent is complete without free food (Annadanam) or the distribution of Prasadam, the culinary things donated during puja. Shri Anandha Kalpha Foundation, with hundreds of thousands of devotees, celebrated this holiday with kindness and care, love and compassion, getting far more than it could give in return. We warmly encourage you to contribute to the free food offering.
